Chris began his professional music career playing with the regional act Brandy Lies in the early to mid 90’s. Touring across New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Delaware the band enjoyed a tremendous amount of regional success. Annually nominated for Best Rock Guitarist in the Buffalo Music Awards, Chris garnered the recognition of both fans and peers. Notes Paul Cullen, former bass player with Bad Company and producer of Brandy Lies’ 1995 release Firewater: “Chris is a great player and technician all the way”. In the course of touring with Brandy Lies from 1991-1995 Chris had the opportunity to meet and play with a number of well respected musicians in the rock genre, most notably Yngwie Malmsteen and Andy Timmons (formerly of Danger Danger). As the booking agent and publicist for the band, Chris also learned the business aspects of the music industry. Parting company with the band in mid ’95 due to artistic and personal differences, Chris went on to become the most sought after guitar and bass instructor in the area. At the same time, Chris began polishing his songwriting and studio skills. A featured player on a number of local releases in Western New York, including Chameleon’s 1998 release Somethin’s Cookin on Cookin’ Records and Lareau’s 2006 release “Changes” on Rust Records, Chris has stayed extremely active in the regional music scene. In 1999, in conjunction with The Worship Tribe, Chris performed with Petra at Crosspointe Community Church in Jamestown, NY. At this event Chris sparked the interest of Petra drummer Louie Weaver with a demo entitled Doubting Thomas. For some time Chris maintained a dialogue with Louie through Weaver’s business partner Randy Matthews of Image 3 Studios in Englewood, Fl and received much encouragement from this relationship. However, while this relationship was both edifying and rewarding from an inspirational standpoint, Chris is still searching for the right vehicle to realize his musical aspirations. Anyone who has worked with Chris knows that he is the consummate professional with a very diverse, unique, and distinctive style of playing and songwriting. Whether touring as a performing musician or penning songs as a songwriter, Chris is building a solid career in the music business and believes that the best is yet to come!
