“DJ Panda”, “NitroNote”, “ReoR”, “DJ EasyLife”, “Absorber”… – and there is only COMPOSER, SOUND DESIGNER, PRODUCER and DJ – Sandris Gravāns standing behind these pseudos. Possibly not like many others musicians, I prefer a momentum creative process over long term composition, and instead of looking for music, I let music to find me. I'm in to music and DJing since kindergarten years using dad’s reel-to-reel tape recorder. In early 90′s I was playing at home & school parties, raves & nightclubs across country as a resident DJ (a.k.a. DJ Panda). In 1996 I took part in “Super FM” radio station, biggest “Latvian DJ Competition” and went up to semifinals where I was competing against other top Djs. That appeared not enough. When I turned 20, in 1998 together with my best mate Rūdolfs Skabs we started music project called “NitroNote“. Thanks to DJ Janis Krauklis – the Godfather of Latvian and USSR electronic music dance floor – our debut album, “Placid Waves”, started the second electronic music wave in Latvia. The album followed with live performances around Latvia and Estonia. In the 1999 we took part in the first international music industry in Latvia forum “Forte Riga”. When the project was over, I just kept on evolving. In 2000 I recorded my first live ambient tape using only one YAMAHA synthesizer “CS1x” with 4 layers and tape recorder, but full of incredibly captivating music which takes you to other worlds. It was the birth of ReoR. In 2003 I was noticed by some documentary makers and was asked to score the music for documentary “Iluzijas Cena” (“Price for Illusion“). In 2005 I moved to London, where I got addicted to intelligent and liquid drum and bass. That’s how DJ EasyLife was born: I started to produce drum and bass tracks & studio mixes. At the end of 2005, net-label “FOEM” released “Voices” by NitroNote on VA “Electronic Youth Vol.12” CD1. During 2008 I moved back to Riga, the capital of Latvia and started to promote my music on the web, under name “My Music Projects” a.k.a. MMP. In 2010 I was noticed by Latvian net-label “inqb8r” and soon after “Missing Galaxy” EP by ReoR was released. In 2011 I was noticed by Music Production Company “Eclectic”, the tune called “Flashing By” by DJ EasyLife was used for “Land Rover”corporate/online film. At the moment I'm all in to DJing, Music Production / Royalty Free Music / Audio market. Creating music for Films, TV, Video games etc. Much love, Sandris Gravans You can contact Me via: sg@mymusicprojects.com P.S. You guessing, why the heck he got so many Projects under his belt - the answer is: cos I create music in many different genres (Multi Genre) Deep Electronic Music)) “DJ EasyLife” - Intelegent Drum and Bass, Chillstep, Deep Dubstep, Lounge, Beaks, Jungle “DJ Panda” - Acid House, Acid Techno, Acid Trance, Hardcore, Power Noise “NitroNote” - House, Techno, Trance, Experimental, Crossover, Ambient “Absorber” - Deep Techno, Deep House, Deep Trance, Tech House, Minimal Techno “ReoR” - Ambient, Film Music, Score, Background, Chill Out, Experimental, SFX, TV, Ads, Games In general DEEP stuff :)
