The music of Abbas Premjee spans many genres, from rock and blues to world and classical. After completing degrees in composition and classical guitar, Abbas began the study of North Indian classical music. He took instruction on the Indian slide guitar under the legendary sitar virtuoso, Ustad Rais Khan. This combination of Eastern and Western styles established the musical foundation of his style. The release of “Elements” in 2008 and “Crescent Moon” in 2011 gained him critical acclaim from all corners of the globe.
Abbas has steadily gained recognition as a composer and his music has been featured in Ads and TV/radio shows across the world. Abbas frequently gigs at various places in LA and Orange County playing guitar and Mohan Veena. Abbas is also active as a teacher and frequently conducts workshops and classes from his home and on skype.
