Dorian studied trumpet and piano at the Royal College of Music Junior Department for two years and then Trinity College of Music for a further three years. After leaving music college he worked as a professional freelance trumpet player, performing a diverse range of music including classical, jazz, salsa, pop, blues, funk, mariachi and other World music. Since completing the Music for the Media course Dorian has composed and recorded the music for over 25 short films and animations and completed numerous arrangements and transcriptions.
He also has over 50 tracks placed with library music companies all over the world, resulting in usage on UK & USA television (including Living TV Primetime), Radio (including BBC 1Xtra), Games and Internet broadcasts.
In 2009 he worked as a freelance music content provider (songs / instrumentals & sound effects) for 'Mamas & Papas'.
His current studio is based around a custom built PC running a host of professional sample sets and plug-ins including the East West Platinum Play Symphonic Orchestra, Quantum Leap RA, East West Goliath, East West Voices of Passion, Quantum Leap Storm Drum 2, East West Symphonic Choirs, Quantum Leap Ministry of Rock, the full Project Sam Brass collection and numerous virtual instruments, including Atmosphere and RMX Stylus. He also has the knowledge and capability to record live instruments, budget and deadline permitting.
